Note Extra precaution should be used when applying wall graphics to “Low VOC” or "Zero VOC" paints as these paints may exhibit lower adhesion levels. Surfaces to which the material will be applied must be thoroughly cleaned from dust, grease or any contamination which could affect the adhesion of the material. Freshly lacquered or painted surfaces should be completely cured. The compatibility of selected lacquers and paints should be tested by the user, prior to application of the material. Films with structured surface are naturally more sensitive than the unstructured. Accordingly, these films are to be treated carefully both in processing and in cleaning. Impurities affect the appearance of structured films and require more frequent cleaning. Furthermore the application information published by ORAFOL is to be considered. The batch traceability according to ISO 9001 is possible on the basis of the roll number.

Design Space – The cloud based Cricut software for making your projects.
Designer Edition/Business Edition - The programming that you download to your computer for use with Silhouette. These are optional but very useful.
Weeding – the removal of negative pieces around a cut image. Mirrored Image – for use with iron on/HTV You can turn mirroring on or off by checking the box labeled “Mirror (for iron-on).” All the images on the mat will be mirrored (flipped once horizontally). Images will appear reversed when cut. This is particularly important if you are using iron-on as your material; if you do not mirror the images, they will appear in reverse when ironed on.
Weld - the Weld tool allows you to join shapes to create a single customized image by removing any overlapping cut lines. This can be a great way to simplify a design, keep the letters of a word connected, or combine shapes to create new design.
Attach – The Attach tool (Cricut) has two functions in Design Space. It helps to hold your cuts in the same position relative to each other on the cutting mat as in the design screen. Also, it helps you to fasten a write or score layer to a cut layer.
Contour - The Contour tool (Cricut) allows you to hide a portion of an image layer by removing any unwanted cut lines. You can use this feature in Design Space for PC, Mac and iOS devices. Detailed steps can be found at cricut.com
Group/Ungroup - Group (Silhouette and Cricut) multiple layers, images, or text together so that they move and size together while working with them on the design screen (will not affect how images are laid out on the cutting mats). All multilayer images are added to the design screen as a group. Ungroup a set of layers, images, or text so that they move and size independently from one another on the design screen (will not affect how images are laid out on the cutting mats). Ungrouping text allows you to move and resize each layer of text independently, but keeps the letters grouped together.
Slice - the Slice tool (Silhouette and Cricut) splits two overlapping images or text into different parts. Slice creates new cut paths from two images, resulting in three or more completely new shapes. Each of the new shapes will show up in the Layers panel as an individual layer. Detailed steps can be found at Cricut.com
PTC – Print and cut feature which allows you to use your home printer to print a design and then cut your design on your Cricut
631 – Come in a Matte finish and is commonly referred to indoor vinyl well it was suited to indoor but is not limited to them. 651 – Comes in a high gloss finish and is commonly referred to as outdoor vinyl. It’s a great choice for wet area applications such as boats, mailboxes, cars or other outdoor places
951 – Permanent vinyl and typically referred to as “marine grade” vinyl.
FDC 3700 and GT Equivalent to Oracal 651 but in a “Glitter” form for Car Decals, cups, etc. 5yr Outdoor Rating
Heat Transfer Vinyl or HTV for short, is a specialty vinyl that can be used on certain fabrics/materials to create designs. It comes in a roll or sheet form with an adhesive backing so it can be cut, weeded, and placed on fabric
Printable vinyl – vinyl you can put through your inkjet or laser printer …buy according to your printer.
Inkscape – Free graphic design software that allows you to trace images, edit and create SVG files.
